First resolve wizard powers, then compare (if necessary) the elements on those cards (e.g., light beats shadow, nature beats water); if they share the same element, compare the values. The losing wizard goes to that player's discard pile, then draws the next wizard from his deck to play against the opposing player's victorious wizard.
