Batman - Everybody Lies is a deductive puzzle-solving game set in the Batman universe and Gotham City. Players take on the roles of four lead investigators: the instinctive journalist Warren Spacey, the tenacious reporter Vicki Vale, the brutal detective Harvey Bullock, and the cunning Catwoman. The four investigators become involved in a series of mysterious events in Gotham City.
Players cooperate throughout the game to conduct the investigation and solve a series of challenging cases. During the game, they visit iconic locations and cross paths with well-known characters (including Batman, the Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and many more). Together, the players follow clues, identify suspects, and gather information to help save Gotham City. A new mechanic adds hidden agendas to the game and gives players secret objectives and unique conditions, depending on whom they are portraying.
The game begins with an introductory prologue to familiarize players with the game's rules. This is followed by 3 major cases to be solved. Each case takes approximately 2-3 hours to play through. Each case can be played separately, but if the players solve all of the game's cases, they will reach an epic climax.
