Prehistories is a strategy game for 2-5 players from The Flying Games, designed by Alexandre Emerit and Benoit Turpin. Each player leads a Stone Age tribe and has to decorate the cave wall with the finest wall paintings. The box is bilingual, with rules in both French and English.
Each round everyone simultaneously chooses a hunter card in a sealed bidding round. Whoever commits the fewest hunters moves first but can carry less prey home, while more hunters give access to the large animals. The prey consists of polyomino tiles, which are placed in the cave on a grid of 7 x 7 squares and must touch tiles already placed. Fulfilling the wishes of the spirits lets you place a totem token, and the first to get rid of all eight of their totem tokens wins.
The box contains 5 decks of 12 hunter cards, 40 totem tokens, 5 player aid cards, 75 animal tiles in four sizes plus 5 legendary animals, 5 caves in 3D, 1 double-sided game board, 9 objective cards and 1 sheet of stickers.
