Skull King
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
Skull King is a pirate-themed trick-taking game for 2-8 players from Grandpa Beck's Games. Each round the players bid exactly how many tricks they expect to win before the cards are played.
Hitting your bid exactly scores points; missing it costs points. The rounds get longer as the game goes on, so it becomes harder to hit the bid the more cards you hold. Besides the ordinary suits there are pirates, which beat the opponents, mermaids, which defeat the Skull King himself, and special cards such as the Kraken and the White Whale. The key is to read the other players and decide when to bid cautiously and when to stake everything on bonus points.
