Batman - Everybody Lies is a deductive puzzle-solving game set in the Batman universe and Gotham City. Players take on the roles of four lead investigators: the instinctive journalist Warren Spacey, the tenacious reporter Vicki Vale, the brutal detective Harvey Bullock, and the cunning Catwoman. The four investigators become involved in a series of mysterious events in Gotham City.
Players work together throughout the game to investigate and solve a series of challenging cases. Throughout the game, they visit familiar locations and cross paths with familiar characters (including Batman, the Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and many more). Together, players follow clues, identify suspects, and gather information to help save Gotham City. A new mechanic adds hidden agendas to the game, giving players secret goals and unique conditions depending on who they portray.
The game begins with an introductory prologue that introduces the players to the rules of the game. This is followed by 3 large cases that must be solved. Each case takes approx. 2-3 hours to complete. Each case can be played separately, but if the players solve all the game's cases, the players achieve an epic climax.
