Hutan: Life in the Rainforest (Nordic)
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
Pattern game for 1–4 players by the Danish designers Asger Harding Granerud and Daniel Skjold Pedersen, in which the players each replant their own piece of rainforest. The game is illustrated by Vincent Dutrait, and the rules are in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish.
Over nine rounds flower cards are taken, and the corresponding flowers are placed on the player's own rainforest boards. Two identical flowers on the same space become a tree, and an area completely covered by the same flower attracts an animal such as an orangutan or a Sumatran tiger. Points are deducted for areas that are not filled, so the space has to be planned; the ecosystem cards are an advanced variant with extra goals.
