"My Brain Is A Stick of Butter" is a solo board game about living a week with ADHD, and how hard it can be to balance all the tasks life expects you to carry out. It takes approx. 30-60 minutes to play, after which you can step out of the game world and back into your real life. To play you need the book (or a printout of the play sheet), a deck of playing cards and a six-sided die.
Spend your days trying to do your job, keep up your social relationships, get all your chores done and find time to enjoy yourself. It is not exactly meant to be a fun game to play, but I think you will find it informative. You may not get everything done that you would like to this week, but you will hopefully learn a lot about life with ADHD after playing.
The game is designed to recreate the author's personal experience of the constant background swell of executive dysfunction that comes from ADHD. The deck of cards and the brain die are meant as a representative indicator of the lack of agency he feels when choosing which tasks to focus on at any given time. Many times things go to plan. But just as often his mind and attention are pulled in another direction.

When you place your order, you can choose to pick up your order at one of our stores.
If you order on a weekday before 3:00 PM, and the item is in stock at the store in question, the item will often be ready for pickup within a few hours.
Please note that the webshop is connected to our warehouse in Copenhagen. When you order for pickup in Aarhus, it can therefore take up to six days before the order is ready for pickup.
