A really fine edition of the game Con Tac Tix, designed by Piet Hein.

Piet Hein invented the game himself and presented it at the Niels Bohr Institute in 1942. The game quickly became popular under the name Polygon. Albert Einstein himself is said to have kept the game in his office.

The game is played by two players, who take turns placing a peg in any hole that is not already occupied. Each player aims to establish an unbroken chain between that player's two sides. The chain can wind in and out in every conceivable way. The game cannot end in a draw, since one player can only block the other by completing their own chain.

The handsome wood gives the game an exclusive and elegant look, so it can well be left on display when not in use. Use the game for pleasant, cosy moments with the people you care about, or simply as a beautiful decoration in the living room.

The game has its origins in the four colour theorem: Piet Hein was considering whether four colours are always enough to colour a map without two neighbouring countries getting the same colour. That became the board with the hexagonal spaces.
