The Will without an Heir is a cooperative game in which the players work together to solve a mystery. The game contains a 3D crime scene, and the players must share information, discard misleading cards, discuss clues and form hypotheses together. At the end of the game the players answer a series of questions together - and each correct answer scores points.
The mystery takes place in 1698 and concerns Cornelius Kloos, the former director of the Kloos Trading Company, who has been found dead. His safe stands open, but the will found in the safe is still sealed. Why did he have to die, and who is behind it?
