Land vs Sea

Tile-laying game in which two players build the same map but each score on their own part of it: one on land, the other on sea. The tiles are drawn in the style of historical sea charts.
Each player holds two hexagonal tiles with land on one side and sea on the other – and one side stays hidden until the tile is placed. A completed area scores one point per tile, and some tiles give bonus points to whoever closes the area. So it can pay to close the opponent's area if the bonus is big enough. The basic rules are learned in two minutes, and extra scoring systems can be switched on: mountains and coral, caravans and ships. With three players, the third is a cartographer with goals of their own.
