Tanbo
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
Tanbo is an abstract strategy game for 2 players from the French publisher Musoka Studio, designed by Ikumo Tasaka. The game won the Rakuichi Fresh Dragon award in Japan in 2023, and the box contains 62 meeples.
The players grow rice in Niigata Prefecture, and the core mechanism resembles mancala: meeples are moved around between the rice fields and trigger effects along the way. Snakes in the fields give a bigger harvest, but if they spread too much the rice cannot be harvested. The player with the most rice at the end of the game wins.
