Volterra
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
In medieval Volterra, Tuscany, it was the custom for rival families to compete at building. The taller the tower, the richer the family. To this day the remains of that contest - the 'dynasty towers' - can still be seen in many Tuscan towns.
Wealth does not matter in the tactical game Volterra. Here the towers rise thanks to the tactical skill of the master builders. The tiles in the game are stacked on top of each other step by step. The playing pieces do their utmost to defend towers of their own colour. Building continues on the shrinking playing area until no pieces can move. Who is now sitting on top of the tallest tower?
