Travel chess set in cardboard and card from Pop-Up Games, designed by David Hawcock. The board folds up like a pop-up book, and the set comes in a sleeve with pockets for the pieces and a booklet of rules and tactics.

Unlike magnetic travel sets in plastic, the board can be closed in the middle of a game and opened again with the pieces still in place, because the pieces sit firmly in the squares. The set contains no plastic and can be recycled. Closed, it takes up no more room than a thin book, so it can go along on a trip or stand on the bookshelf.
