The Burr puzzle has a mysterious origin, first seen engraved on the cover of Chambers' Cyclopaedia. A captivating three-dimensional creation made of interlocking, notched sticks. DAR Proyectos' version of the puzzle, named in reference to the finished shape that resembles a burr seed, is handcrafted from semi-precious onyx. The 6-piece star-shaped puzzle forms a complex and striking object when not in use, and will baffle any guests sitting around your coffee table.
Each piece is carved from banded onyx, a striking quartz-based mineral that features striped patterns ranging from white to coffee-colored - no two stones are exactly alike. The stone is a metamorphic rock from the Arequipan Andes Mountains of Peru. This protective stone is associated with an earthy energy that dispels negative energy and offers motivation and preservation. Handcrafted in Peru by DAR Proyectos.
