The R21 Turbo had a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine with 175 hp and a top speed of 228 km/h — one of the fastest family saloons of its time. The Mk2 arrived in mid-1989 with a new dashboard, rounder tail lights and five-spoke wheels.
