A quick and entertaining party game best described as a cross between Ultimate Werewolf, Cluedo and Mysterium, in which the players together try to guess who has committed a crime.
Everyone is given a secret role: either investigator or murderer. One of the players knows the murderer's identity and his crime. Without speaking, that player must now try to hint to the other players who the murderer is. But it is not as easy as it sounds. The players take turns putting forward their own theory of who the murderer is, and here the murderer can try to cast suspicion on the other players and create confusion.
Deception is quick, fun and very easy to get started with. It is a game with a great deal of negotiating, bluffing and talking, which also makes it suitable for language teaching.
