The Abbey of Iona is renowned for its famous manuscripts, filled with gold leaf and remarkable calligraphy. Indeed, thanks to talent and discipline, you have become a masterful illuminator!
In Inkwell, each player either takes supplies from a shared mat or chooses to score and advance to a new page in their personal codex. Supplies include colored ink dice, gold leaf, and skill cards with special powers and effects. Everything you take must fit on your manuscript card, and if you empty the last inkwell of a certain type, the abbot ticks down the game time toward the end of the game. If you choose to turn the page, you score for all your completed work and collect your skill cards, which will benefit you for the rest of the game and build an 'engine' of learned skills. You also receive a reward in the form of gold leaf and a chance to choose your next page to work on. Be aware, however, that if the abbot becomes displeased, he may force you to move on before you are finished.
Inkwell is a strategic and tactical game with few rules and many choices, designed to celebrate beautiful historical manuscripts and surprisingly challenging gameplay for groups or solo play.

When you place your order, you can choose to pick up your order at one of our stores.
If you order on a weekday before 3:00 PM, and the item is in stock at the store in question, the item will often be ready for pickup within a few hours.
Please note that the webshop is connected to our warehouse in Copenhagen. When you order for pickup in Aarhus, it can therefore take up to six days before the order is ready for pickup.
Therefore, always wait until you have received an email stating that your order is ready for pickup.
