It's 10 o'clock and the Animalia stock exchange opens its doors, attracting many investors looking for the best business opportunities. Jacques and Marie, a pair of rabbits, want to make a quick profit on shares in Carotte Orange SCA. Felipe the shark tries to convince Karl the pig that Peixe Azul SA is a good deal, but the pig is only interested in Roter Apfel AG, whose shares have already given him good profits recently. Hank the bull is convinced of Green Grass Inc.'s increasing profits, but Sofia the bear prefers to be more cautious and make a safe investment in Miele Giallo SpA. Finally, Harshad the wolf tries to convince everyone that he is a successful investor, but rumors are circulating that he became a millionaire with a pyramid scheme. Before the stock exchange closes, anything can happen! Who will raise both arms and shout "STONKS!" to celebrate?
Stonks is a game of trick taking and stock market. One player leads the trick by playing a card, and everyone must follow suit. The player who played the highest card wins the trick and chooses one of the played cards to put in the purse. All cards have stocks, which give victory points according to the market value of the companies. Some cards, when used, allow the player to change the share price of a company, either to their own advantage or to ruin their opponent's dreams. When all cards have been used, the player with the most victory points is the winner.
