Viking Raiders (English)
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
Can you create the greatest Viking clan, build an enormous fleet and get the most out of your raids?
On your turn you draw 2 cards to see what your clan has been doing while you were away. Have they concentrated on resources and quarried stone or mined gold, gathered wood, met other Vikings or built up the food stores? Sometimes they have spent their time preparing actions for you by capturing one of the wandering Berserkers or getting ready for a raid (one of their favourite pursuits). Or perhaps they have received a favour from one of the Norse gods or goddesses?
On each turn you can use one action (for example going on a raid or using a favour from a god or goddess) and buy one item from the shared market. Items are bought with resources from your hand, and the choice is between ships for your fleet, buildings for your clan and valuables for your Loot. Each item gives 1-3 victory points, and the first player to have a given number of victory points in each category wins the game.
There are also four rare abilities that sometimes turn up in the market. Oh, and watch out for Ragnarok...
A compact, travel-friendly game with simple rules that make it well suited to, for instance, families with older children.
