The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow, also known simply as 'Werewolf', is an extremely popular game in which the social interaction between the players matters more than the physical components.
The game is set in a small village in the days when superstition, mystery and witch burnings were still part of life. The village is haunted by werewolves, and the villagers must lynch the werewolves before they themselves fall victim to the wolves' ravenous appetite.
At the start of the game each player is given a role, kept secret from the other participants, which shows whether the player is a villager or a werewolf. The game then alternates between two phases: night and day. At night the werewolves decide which villager to eat, and during the day the village votes on who they believe turns into a werewolf at night and must therefore be lynched. A player who is eaten or lynched is out of the game, which continues until only werewolves or only villagers remain.
A game full of lies, deceit and laughter. There is no text on the cards, so they can be played across languages – only the rulebook is in Danish.
