The trick-taking game Wizard uses a deck of sixty cards consisting of the traditional 52-card deck (1-13 in four suits) along with four Wizards (high) and four Jokers (low).
Players compete over several rounds based on the number of players, and the one who ends up with the highest score wins. In each round, players are dealt a hand of cards - one card in the first round, two cards in the second, three in the third, etc. - then trump is determined by turning over the top card of the undivided deck. If a suit is revealed, that suit is the trump, while if the card turned up is a Joker, it is turned down and there is no trump in that round. If the card turned up is a Wizard, the dealer chooses one of the 4 suits as the trump. The dealer cannot choose "no trump". In the final round of each game, all cards are dealt, so there is no trump. Players then indicate how many tricks they expect to win in the round.
