Foundations of Metropolis (English)
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
City-building game by Emerson Matsuuchi from Arcane Wonders, illustrated by Joe Shawcross. Contains a city board, 96 building tiles, 81 deed cards, 68 coins, 4 player boards and 32 lot markers.
The game is played over three rounds. On a turn, the player buys a deed, constructs a building or takes income. Buildings must sit on adjoining lots owned by the player, and larger buildings give more prestige. The mechanics are the same as in Foundations of Rome, but the theme is a modern city, and the plastic buildings have been replaced by cardboard tiles.
