Silent Guardians

With villages attacked by monsters every night, a band of adventurers must protect the innocent while pressing on towards the Demon Lord. Every battle demands trust, instinct and flawless coordination, as the heroes cannot freely reveal everything they know. By reading the flow of battle, sharing strength and sealing monsters with the right swords, the group brings hope back to each village before dawn breaks.

Silent Guardians is a cooperative trick-taking game for 3-4 players, in which players try to win tricks and place sword tiles on them according to the colours most represented in each trick. Players start with limited information, since they hold their own hands without seeing the card numbers and instead rely on card order, High indicators, legal play and table talk that may not include numbers. Before the game, sword tiles are drawn at random and shared out among the players, and every trick won must be sealed with a sword tile matching the majority colour of the cards in that trick; grey sword tiles act as wild tiles. If a trick cannot be sealed correctly the group loses immediately, but if every trick is completed with a valid sword placement all players win together. The game includes a basic mode, easier scenario rules that permit tile transfers, and random rules that add variable challenges.
