Threads of Fate is a remastered edition of PostCurious' debut game The Tale of Ord. The game blends escape room, board game and interactive fiction, and takes the players through a story in four chapters, each filled with puzzles of varying difficulty.
In the role of a private detective, the player has to find two missing professors from the Emerens Institute. Along the way, information comes to light about a mysterious relic found by an archaeological team, and with it the possibility of changing the course of fate.
The material consists of letters, articles, drawings, websites and strange artefacts, and the journey leads through the supernatural forces of Norse mythology. The meaning of the mysterious glyphs is revealed along the way.
The game can be played alone or together. Each chapter takes around 2-3 hours, so the four chapters give 8-12 hours of play in total.
