Verdun (English/German/French)
In stock at the following stores: Games København, Games Aarhus
Trick-taking game for 2-4 players from the Finnish publisher Dragon Dawn Productions, designed by Ren Multamäki, about the Battle of Verdun in 1916. It is played one against one or two against two, with rules and cards in English, German and French.
Players attack the enemy's fortresses with cards from both sides of the front, and even a victory brings losses that are deducted from the score. Games often end below zero, and the game is deliberately conceived as a comment on the futility of war.
