7 Wonders: Duel is a 2-player version of the award-winning and critically acclaimed card game 7 Wonders .
Like the original version, 7 Wonders: Duel progresses through 3 ages, where players must acquire cards that represent buildings in their civilization and that can provide bonuses, resources, or strengthen the military and scientific development of their society.
Unlike the original 7 Wonders, you acquire the cards in a slightly different way: The cards are laid out in the middle of the table in different patterns. Some cards are face up, while others are face down. Players take turns taking one of the cards, and the more cards are taken, the more become visible. In this way, the game constantly develops in new and surprising ways.
When a player takes a card, he or she has 3 options, just like in the original 7 Wonders : The building can be built if you have the required resources, the card can be put away for money, or you can use the card to build on one of your 4 wonders. Yes, you heard that right. In 7 Wonders: Duel, each player has 4 wonders that can be built. However, only 7 can be built in total during the game, so you have to be quick if you want to complete all of your own.
7 Wonders: Duel is won by having the most points at the end of 3 ages. Unlike regular 7 Wonders , you can also win by having acquired a military superiority that can capture the opponent's capital, or by collecting 6 out of 7 science cards.
