Strategy game about the California gold rush for 2-4 players, designed by Reiner Knizia and illustrated by Beth Sobel.
Each turn, players develop mining companies, buy and sell shares in them and spend their money on ability cards. The company tiles are used to influence the value of the shares, so a player can play it safe or bet on the richest mines. The game ends when all gold veins have been found, and the richest player wins.
The board is double-sided with two different maps, and the setup is random from game to game.
