The premise of a classic Dungeons & Dragons adventure is almost always the same: A group of adventurers get wind of a dangerous adventure and then set out to complete a mission.
Lords of Waterdeep turns this formula on its head, placing players in the city of Waterdeep as influential figures who need adventurers to complete a series of quests that can make them even more powerful.
Lords of Waterdeep is a classic resource game, but with a fantasy theme. Instead of silk, grain, stone or wood, players fight for thieves, warriors, priests and wizards. Each player starts with some missions that require a specific combination of different adventurers. During the game, you can get more missions, build new buildings and use insidious tricks in the form of intrigue cards. Each mission gives a number of points when completed and the player with the most points at the end of the game has won
