In Santa Maria, each player must establish and develop a new colony. You do this by placing building tiles on your colony board. Dice are now used to activate the buildings (the dice represent workers), and it is important to consider where and in what order you place and use your dice. During the game, you produce resources, establish new shipping routes, send Conquistadores on expeditions, and gain religious influence so that you can recruit monks. The player who has achieved the most happiness after three rounds has won.
Santa Maria is a very varied game that you can play over and over again. It also works well as a solo game.
