In A Game of Thrones you and your friends fight a bloody battle for power in Westeros. Each participant controls one of the 6 families that make up the ruling elite of Westeros: Stark, Lannister, Greyjoy, Baratheon, Tyrell and Martell.
Build your armies, take Westeros and crush your enemies, but remember: keep your friends close and your enemies closer, because A Game of Thrones: The Board Game is not a game that can be won by military superiority alone. Alliances and betrayal are a large part of the game.
With its interesting order system, where players hide their intentions from each other, and with battles that are fought without dice, the game offers a unique experience that is better than most other games of its kind on the market.
Note that A Game of Thrones is a long game and can easily reach six hours before you are finished, especially the first time it is played. The player count on the box says 3-6, and that is true, but we recommend 5, preferably 6 people. 3-4 is entirely possible, but the full experience only comes with 6.
