Each player starts with three cards in hand, which can be used in a variety of ways to build spaceships, develop new technology, or explore new planets to gain more resources. New spaceships allow you to increase your strength or actively attack others. New technologies give you extra actions and the opportunity for lots of points, while planets give you extra resources to work with. Each time you build a new card, you must choose which side of the card you want to use; logistics , which provides long-term bonuses and makes you stronger, or operational , which provides points and the ability to attack your opponent.
Manage resources, plan, and make the right choices to win in Alien Artifacts , a fast-paced, choice-driven game that feels a bit like an advanced version of Star Realms and is great for two or three players.
