In this game players follow either the rules for monopolists or those for competitors. Competitors charge fair rents, build as soon as they own a property, place at most four houses (green), after which they build a hotel (red), and occasionally go into a price war. Monopolists, on the other hand, extort monopoly-high rents from their poor tenants, build only when they have at least two streets of the same colour, restrict supply by building only three houses on their properties, after which they too are allowed to build a hotel (red), and occasionally they end up in prison.
The good guys are the small entrepreneurs and the bad guys are the monopolists. As the players do not play by the same rules, fairness is achieved by means of a probability-equalising technique for winnings (which is where the second author comes into the picture).
Competitors earn more money than monopolists at the start of the game, but monopolists can catch up later, especially if the competitors do not look after their money.

Please note that the webshop is connected to our warehouse in Copenhagen. When you order for pickup in Aarhus, it can therefore take up to six days before the order is ready for pickup.
Therefore, always wait until you have received an email stating that your order is ready for pickup.
