Backgammon board with a playing surface in green natural cork and inlaid points in natural and red. The frame is laminated wood, and the board closes around the checkers.
Cork deadens the sound of the checkers more than wood and faux leather and gives a softer landing. In return, the cork is more vulnerable to sharp objects than a lacquered wooden surface.
