In 1951, the Indian government commissioned the famous architect Le Corbusier to design a new capital for the state of Punjab. Thus, Chandigarh was born.
In Chandigarh, players are urban planners, tasked with creating the modern city from the ground up. They must construct buildings, attempt to capitalize on buildings built by others, utilize the skills of various municipal employees, and attempt to position themselves in key positions within the city - all with the goal of creating the patterns depicted on their chosen city plans. Whoever scores the most prestige points wins.
