You were desperate, and you were foolish. You borrowed 50 gems from the notorious Crow gang, and now they want them back with interest within 3 days. You are a simple skinner at the local maggot farm; there is no chance of you earning that kind of money in time, and the Crows are not known for their flexibility.
Fortunately, there are jewels waiting for someone with the right amount of skill, ambition and luck. You can fish on the beach and sell your catch to the local fishermen, or search the glade for ingredients and make exotic brews. You can search the local rubbish dump for materials to make tools, or steal from the market.
If you are feeling lucky, the carnival has come to town. If you are feeling brave, the miners' guild has plenty of jobs to be completed in the nearby mines.
This solo adventure game is the first in a planned series of Small Tin Tale games. It takes place in Brighthelm, the world first brought to life in Paupers' Ladder.
