Dumb Ways to Die: Sudden Death
Win - or die trying. This is a 2-player edition of Dumb Ways to Die.
Your only goal is to make sure your Beans do not die. That is easier said than done – the clumsy Beans ALWAYS find dumb ways to die. Their survival depends on a deck of cards that MIGHT help (but mostly does not).
In Dumb Ways to Die each player starts with 3 Beans and a handful of cards. On your turn you roll a die to determine how many actions you must take. An action can be drawing a card from the deck, or playing a card from your hand and carrying out the actions on it. That may mean forcing other players to draw cards, looking at other players' cards, swapping hands with a player, attacking a single player or forcing all players to take extra actions. When you draw, you may get a card that immediately kills one of your Beans.
If a player is attacked, or if you draw a Kill card, you can defend yourself against the attack or death by playing an accident card with a matching icon. If you can play the matching card, you have cheated death and live for another round. If you cannot play the required card, one of your Beans is killed.
Once all three of your Beans have been killed, you are out of the game. Play continues until only one player has Beans (or a single Bean) left, and that player takes the victory.
Sudden Death can be played by 2 players, or mixed with Dumb Ways to Die and played by 6 players.
