Ethno
In Ethnos , players pit elves, sea creatures, minotaurs and dwarves against each other to gain control of the map. Ethnos features a total of 12 different factions, but only six are used in each game, meaning that the games are incredibly varied. All factions are divided into six colors; the same six colors as the regions you fight over on the game board. Each player starts with just one card in their hand and then picks up cards from a row on the table or deck. By playing a set of cards from your hand that are either the same color or all belong to the same faction, you can place your pieces in the regions and perhaps collect points when the round is over. But careful planning is required if you are to win. Every time you play something from your hand, you have to put the rest of your cards on the table so that the other players have the opportunity to take them. Furthermore, each faction behaves differently, so you might be able to knit together some cool combinations that make it possible to place multiple pieces in one turn.
Ethnos is a fun game with fast turns and lots of variation options that can be played with up to 6 players. Perfect for those who like Small World or Risk.
