Faraway (English)
Welcome to Alula, a mysterious continent with constantly shifting geography, shaped by the rhythm of the seasons. Beyond the Sea of Mist lies the mysterious continent of Alula. Travel through the land in search of its secrets, meet its inhabitants and discover its wonders to earn more fame than your opponents.
Over the course of a game of Faraway, you play a row of 8 cards in front of you, from left to right. These cards represent the regions you will come across as you explore the lands. The characters on these cards give you victory points if you later meet the conditions they require. At the end of the game, you walk back the same way and score the cards in the opposite order to the one you played them in. This is the heart of the game. Throughout the game, the cards you play serve both to set new goals and to reach the ones you played earlier.
Each turn you play one card from a hand of 3. You then choose a new card from a face-up river. As play is simultaneous in Faraway, you have to take a clever priority system into account in all your choices: being the last to choose a card gives you fewer options and often less profitable choices for the coming rounds.
