Frosthaven is the story of a small camp, far, far north of the capital of White Oak. The camp can barely survive the harsh weather and invasions from both known and unknown forces. A group of mercenaries fight to bring the camp back from the brink of the abyss - but they must not only fight the weather. The merciless cold hides other, more threatening dangers. The group must withstand the yeti-like Algox attacking from the mountains; Lurkers swarming in from the North Sea; and rumors of machines that roam the frozen plains of their own free will. The group of adventurers must face all of these threats - and perhaps make peace with these new races along the way, so that together they can withstand an even darker threat.
Frosthaven is a standalone adventure created by the people behind Gloomhaven. The game features a new campaign of 100 scenarios. Characters and items from Gloomhaven can be used in Frosthaven , and vice versa.
The game has the familiar mechanics from Gloomhaven , but includes a lot of other things to do outside of combat, such as countless mysteries to solve, events that follow the course of the year, and control over the camp's expansion that affects how the game progresses.
