Hardback
Hardback is a card game in which you build your own deck of cards and form words. As an aspiring 19th-century author, you work on writing your next masterpiece and earn prestige along the way. Specialise your deck in particular genres to make use of card combinations, and push your luck to draw extra cards, but make sure you can still put words together.
Besides the competitive variant for 2-5 players, the base game includes further rules, among them a cooperative mode for 1-4 players in which the players join forces against one of four opponents, each skilled in different card game genres.
The game works as a prequel to Paperback, but can be played on its own.
