Hegemony is an asymmetrical card-driven board game that places you in the role of one of the socio-economic groups in a fictional state: the Working Class, the Middle Class, the Capitalist Class, and the State itself.
The working class controls the workers. The capitalist class controls the businesses. The middle class combines elements of both the working class and the capitalist class. It has workers who can work in the capitalist's businesses, but can also build its own businesses. Finally, the state tries to keep everyone happy by providing benefits and subsidies when necessary, but also tries to maintain a stable income through taxes to avoid debt.
Although players have their own separate goals, they are all constrained by a set of policies that affect most of their actions, such as Taxation, Labor, Foreign Trade, etc. These policies are voted on, and it is possible to use your influence to change the course of events. Through careful planning, strategic actions, and political maneuvering, you will do your best to increase the power of your class and implement your agenda. Will you be the one to lead your class to victory?
Hegemony is heavily based on actual academic principles such as social democracy, neoliberalism, nationalism, and globalism, and allows players to see their real-world applications through engaging gameplay. There are many paths to victory - which path will you take?

When you place your order, you can choose to pick up your order at one of our stores.
If you order on a weekday before 3:00 PM, and the item is in stock at the store in question, the item will often be ready for pickup within a few hours.
Please note that the webshop is connected to our warehouse in Copenhagen. When you order for pickup in Aarhus, it can therefore take up to six days before the order is ready for pickup.
Therefore, always wait until you have received an email stating that your order is ready for pickup.
