Hirth is an abstract strategy game for two players. You play as Viking kings fighting for control of a piece of land. The winner is the player who first controls the five central squares, or pushes the opponent's king piece off the board. The game has a relatively small board, but offers a complex game, as you have to move pieces to create strong units. The game is designed in the present, but with an ambition to resemble a game that could potentially be found in a Viking grave.
