Hive is a two-player strategy game that is not limited by a board and can be played anywhere on any flat surface. The base game of Hive consists of twenty-two pieces, eleven black and eleven white, that resemble different creatures, each with a unique way of moving. Hive Pocket includes the Mosquito and Ladybug expansions, for a total of 26 pieces.
Since there is no set-up, the game begins when the first piece is placed. As subsequent pieces are placed, this forms a pattern that becomes the playing surface. (The pieces themselves become the board.) Unlike other similar games, pieces are never eliminated, and not all of them need to be played. The object of the game is to completely surround the opponent's queen, while trying to block the opponent from doing the same to your queen. The first player to completely surround the opponent's queen wins the game.

Please note that the webshop is connected to our warehouse in Copenhagen. When you order for pickup in Aarhus, it can therefore take up to six days before the order is ready for pickup.
Therefore, always wait until you have received an email stating that your order is ready for pickup.
