In Hostage Negotiator, you play an agent tasked with negotiating the freedom of hostages captured by an unscrupulous villain bent on having their demands met.
Each turn in the game represents a conversation between you and the hostage taker. You play cards and roll dice to gain conversation points, lower the threat level, and free hostages. The game uses a unique "hand-building" mechanism, where cards you buy go directly into your hand for the next turn, rather than having no idea when they will appear, like in deck-building games.
In Hostage Negotiator there are several ways to win, but the hostage taker has other plans. Will you try to calm him down and get him to surrender? Will you hold him off until you can send your team into a larger operation? How many hostages can you save? These are the many choices you have to make in a game of Hostage Negotiator !
