It's cherry blossom season. As the beautiful sakura leaves fall, a calm calmness hangs in the air. It's the perfect calm before the storm: welcome to Sakura Slam!
In this standalone sequel to Kabuto Sumo , players return as the wrestling Kabutomushi ("helmet insects"), competing to knock down their opponents in an all-new square arena. The coin-swiping mechanic returns, but with a new platform, characters, pillars, and powers.
New arena features:
- Notched Push Platform - In Sakura Slam, you have to push from the corners of the arena. This makes it harder to fully focus on defense as you can't always push your piece away from the edge - meaning fewer stalemates and more body slams.
- Fixed Corners - Four fixed corner posts tower over every match. Can you use these posts to better predict how an aggressive move will play out? Alternatively, if you're near the edge, can you "unleash" and use the post defensively?
- Marking Corners - When you push from a corner you haven't pushed from before, you place a marker that "marks" that corner. Place one on each of the four posts to perform another push action immediately.
All but two figures are compatible with the original Kabuto Sumo

If you order on a weekday before 3:00 PM, and the item is in stock at the store in question, the item will often be ready for pickup within a few hours.
