The fourth edition of Eames Playing Cards pays tribute to The Little Toy, a small variation of The Toy. Unlike its larger predecessor, which was made for people to play 'in', Charles and Ray made this design for children and adults to play 'with'.
Originally released in 1952, The Little Toy was designed to inspire creative construction through a range of colourful panels, wire frames and connectors. For the playing cards, the components were used to create a minimalist numbering system in which the small connectors serve as edge markings for quick reference.
Eames playing cards come in a letterpress-printed tuck box, printed on sustainable paper with vegetable-based inks. The design of the box refers to the famous home built by Charles and Ray, a creative base where they lived for many years. Made in the USA
