Gibborim Castaways came about through a production error. The gilded edges of the Gibborim decks were meant to be aquamarine blue, but came out blue instead.

The decks therefore contain the same cards as the original Gibborim deck, only with metallic blue gilded edges. Stockholm 17 gave the variant its own tuck box and the name Gibborim Castaways. The cards can be laid out together to form a map of the island.
