The journey continues in the magical world of Middle-earth in The Two Towers: Trick-Taking Game , a narrative, cooperative card game that lets players take on the roles of heroes and villains from Tolkien's legendary work, The Two Towers . This standalone game follows on from The Fellowship of the Ring: Trick-Taking Game from 2025 with chapters 19-36. The chapters can be played in any order and it is not required to have played the previous game, but ideally you play them in order.
In each chapter, each player takes on a different character role, and each character has a condition that must be met in order to complete the chapter and advance in the story. As you progress through the chapters, new characters, items, and challenges are introduced to the game. The One Ring is the game's only trump card, but initially rings cannot be played until someone plays one of a different color.
In the two-player game, a blind player is dealt a hand of cards, some cards face up and some face down. This blind player is assigned a figure, and one of the players plays cards to it based on which cards are free.
In the game of solitaire, one player plays four hands of cards face up, with each hand assigned a symbol, and only a few cards are available at a time. After you have played a trick, you deal a new card to each hand.
