XJ-S var Jaguars store GT med V12-motor og de karakteristiske finner langs bagruden. H.E. står for High Efficiency, et nyt topstykke fra 1981, der skar brændstofforbruget ned på den 5,3 liters V12. Karrosseriet er lukket, så hverken døre eller motorhjelm kan åbnes. Modellen er fremstillet i et oplag på 1.000 stk.
