Moto Guzzi byggede Trotter fra 1966 til 1973. Den første udgave havde en hældende cylinder på 40,8 cc med automatisk centrifugalkobling, og fra 1969 kom en 49 cc med V-remstræk. Trotter var den første Moto Guzzi, der kom i flere farver, og sort var standardudgaven. Modellen hører til serien Passione Motorini.
